Now that we have gone through the many aftermarket pieces available to complete your Revell 1/25 Bronco model, let's look at some possible ways to build it.
Rather than build your Revell 1/25 Bronco into a box stock Bronco, why not build something unique? How about a tribute to a real Bronco, perhaps one you own or one a friend or relative owns? Perhaps a tribute to a police Bronco, the one below was employed by the Central Park Police in NYC.
It should be easy enough to find the police light, spot lights and NYPD decals.
Here is another fairly easy one to build, the 1976 Colorado Gold Rush Special, it may challenge your paint skills a bit and you will have to create the decals, but that is easy enough now-a-days
A military tribute should be easy enough, you would have to scratch build the rear bumper from styrene channel and find a pintle hitch, then build some headlight covers, the decals and paint should be easy to source.
How about a tribute to a famous Bronco like the K-Bar-S Crazy Horse roadster? Start with a Baja Bronco kit, which will get you the fender flares.
A roll cage from the kit or from Fireball could be modified, Olson Brothers can supply the 1/2 doors, Fireball Model Works can supply the tires and maybe the wheels, the steering wheel can be had from VGC Resins by Reese and the seats are available from Competition Resins and you can scratch build the front bumper.
Crazy Horse had a 351 Boss Cleveland motor, which is available from some models (71-73 Mustang) as well as the aftermarket
The decals, mirrors and the hood scoop would be the hardest parts. Hopefully Fireball or Olson will produce one of these hoods soon.
A slightly more challenging one might be a U-13 Roadster, get the correct grill & spare tire + mount from Fireball, the 1/2 doors and detailed windshield frame from Olsun Brothers. Then get the 170 Six Cylinder from Missing Link. Then source the single exhaust parts, mirror, radiator, air cleaner, single reservoir master cylinder and you should be good to go
Want more of a challenge? Build a tribute to the Dune Duster, you would have to dig deep in the parts bin for '60's era pieces, but this would be an awesome tribute.
