Today's Bronco of the Day come from The legendary Ford dealer in LA, Galpin Ford. Galpin created a division (called Galpin Auto Sports or G.A.S.) to build custom cars and trucks and this is one of their creations.
This ’66 Bronco (nicknamed the Heritage Bronco) was named as a Top 10 Car at SEMA by Motor Trend!
The smallblock Ford 377cid Stroker engine creates an astounding 540 horsepower thanks to a custom tuned Edelbrock EFI and
Powertrain Control System, Ford AOD Transmission and custom made headers
and exhaust system.
Putting power to the ground is the High Pinion Dana
60 Rear Axle with Super Duty Disc Brakes and Dana 44 Front Axle with OX
Air Locker and 3⁄4 ton Disc Brakes. The Custom Long Travel 3-Link Rear
Suspension and 4-Link Front Suspension is designed to work well for rock
crawling, while the King Performance Race Series Coil-Over Shocks
provide the highest level of suspension control.
Off-road exterior
styling is complete with 16” Mickey Thompson Champion Beadlock Wheels by
Alcoa, LT315/75/16 BF Goodrich Mud Terrain T/A Tires, Fully Integrated
Roll Cage and Support System, Custom Fabricated Front Bars/Skid Plate/
Rear Spare Tire Mount/ Trailer Hitch Receiver and Rear Bars.
This Bronco
is painted in Heritage colors as homage to Ford’s dominant first,
second and third place victories at the 1966 Le Mans 24 hour race with
the Gulf GT40s. Equipped with Cobra Sport seats, Deist Safety 4-Point Belts
& Harnesses, custom rear bench seat and Auto Meter gauges, this
Bronco is built to handle the roughest off-road terrain in style!
