Famous Broncos: K-Bar-S

I have neglected this blog for far too long, I am now in the process of getting parts to rebuild my Bronco and remembered that I had started this years ago and left it vacant.....

Anyway todays Bronco of the day is also somewhat famous. It was built by the guys from K-Bar-S Broncos.

K-Bar-S was founded by Hal Sealand and John Karp in the late 1970s. The name of the shop is from their last names (K for Karp S for Sealand).

It was a specialty shop and supplier of Bronco parts, located in Las Vegas, Nevada. I personally purchased parts from K-Bar-S. They closed sometime in the late 90's.

Here are a few of the many Broncos the shop built. Of course in the 1980s Ford was still supporting the Bronco and many factory parts were available over the counter....aftermarket parts though, were not as easy to get, this is where Stroppe, JAmes Duff and K-Bar-S stepped in.

Bronco of the Day

From the Catsexotics website:
1971 Ford Bronco Custom SUV finished in Lamborghini Grigio Telesto over Black interior. This exceptional Bronco has been COMPLETELY rotisserie restored from the ground up. With OVER $53,000 invested into this build not including the price of the Bronco itself, every single nut, bolt, hose, seal, gasket, or working part has been either refinished or replaced. This NO-EXPENSE SPARED restoration has resulted in one of the cleanest, toughest, most eye-catching early Broncos you will ever see. With its Ground-Pounding 351 Winsdor V8, ZF 5 Speed transmission, fully built suspension and custom roll cage – this Bronco not only dominates the street, but the trails as well; although with less than 300 miles on it since the restoration it has never seen anything but pavement. The sale also comes with a BestTop Supertop with tinted windows, and the original metal doors should you ever want to put them on.
